Cancun’s adults-only resort scene usually leans one of two ways: ultra-relaxing wellness escape or high-energy party destination. Finding a resort that strikes the right balance between the two can be difficult – but we’ve found one that does it with style. Located just 15 minutes from Cancun International Airport, this all-inclusive resort opened in 2025 and is perfect for when you want to go straight from the baggage carousel to the poolside bar.
Guests can expect thoughtfully designed spaces, wellness-focused programming, elevated dining, and a social atmosphere that feels lively without becoming overwhelming. It’s the type of resort where you can start your morning with rooftop yoga and end it with cocktails around a fire pit at golden hour.
For first-time visitors to Cancun, this resort is an easy introduction to the destination with its convenient location, walkable layout, and seamless balance of relaxation and activity. For travelers considering a stay, here’s everything worth knowing before we reserve your suite at Hyatt Vivid Grand Island Cancun.

Atmosphere
The atmosphere at the Hyatt Vivid Grand Island is social but relaxed, far removed from the party atmosphere that Cancun used to be synonymous with. Inspired by soothing bohemian earth tones, the resort interior is designed to help you relax and unwind.
Positioned between Nichupté Lagoon and the Caribbean Sea, this adults-only resort is unique for its dual-water views. It’s one of the first “Vivid” hotels for Hyatt, which strives to offer more high-end experiences for younger travelers, especially Millennials and Gen Z.
Rooms and Suites at Hotel Vivid Grand Island

The Hyatt Vivid Grand Island is a suite-only resort that describes itself as a “nirvana”. There are 387 suites available across 12 distinct room and suite categories, including rooms with golf views, ocean views, and bay views. The rooms fall into two main categories: standard suites and Vantage Club suites on the premium floors with elevated amenities.
Vantage Club Master Suite Bay View
Vantage Club is one of the main attractions for this resort, especially if you love to splurge on luxury travel. These suites have larger room layouts with bathtubs and double showers. Most feature the added benefit of an L-shaped balcony, giving you more immersive views. You’ll receive a complimentary bottle of wine in these rooms, along with premium amenities and club-level access.
Some of our favorite perks for Vantage Club are the rooftop pool access, dedicated lounge, and concierge services. You’ll also get added benefits inside your suite, including a pillow menu that will truly change your life and upgraded liquor selections for your included mini-bar.
The rooftop access alone can justify this upgrade, giving you a quieter elevated experience and access to better room categories. It’s worth the splurge for a birthday or anniversary trip, while helping you feel at home during longer stays.
Junior Deluxe Bay View Suite
Available with either one king bed or two doubles, these spacious junior suites feature private balconies and a comfortable, open layout perfect for unwinding after a day in paradise. They’re an excellent choice for travelers who plan to spend more time exploring the destination, enjoying excursions, or soaking up the sun by the pool rather than taking advantage of the added perks included with the Vantage Club.
Resort Pools and Nearby Beach Club

The main pool area encapsulates the more casual, social energy you’ll find at this resort. Daily activities are built around a relaxation-focused program with light entertainment that isn’t going to disrupt your sunbathing or the latest chapter of your book. The swim-up bar is the perfect motivation to make you get the laps in before your first margarita.
Bali beds are available for an additional fee, usually around $200 (although this changes with the seasons) and include reserved seating with a bottle of champagne. It’s the perfect add-on that I can incorporate into your itinerary if you’re heading to Cancun on a bachelorette party or for a birthday bash.
Vantage Club Rooftop Pool
The rooftop pool is what makes the upgrade to Vantage Club worth it – especially as this is the longest rooftop pool in Cancun at approximately 295 feet. It’s open exclusively to Vantage Club guests, with breakfast served there.
Non-Vantage Club guests can access the rooftop if they make a dinner reservation for the Japanese restaurant there, but you won’t be able to use the pool or other amenities.
Ennea Beach Club
Although the Hyatt Vivid Grand Island doesn’t have beachfront access, it offers a daily shuttle service to the nearby Ennea Beach Club, which takes around 7 minutes and leaves every 15 minutes. This bohemian-inspired beach club is open to both resort guests from the Hyatt Vivid (who have food and beverages included, although specialty items are an additional cost) and day pass visitors, with a capacity of around 400 guests.
Mornings at the beach club are quieter with no music, focusing more on creating a wellness-focused atmosphere. After 11 am, things become livelier with a higher social energy and a casual beach party atmosphere, complete with live DJ sets.
The Beach Club can also be used for events and weddings for an additional fee. If you’re planning a destination wedding, we can curate your package to include use of the Ennea Beach Club for your bridal party or guests.
Dining at Hyatt Vivid Grand Island
There are 10 dining venues on offer at the Hyatt Vivid Grand Island, including 5 international restaurants and additional specialty concept dining options. There are also 6 bars across the property to suit everyone’s beverage preferences.
The food and beverage locations are split throughout the hotel, but it’s easy to find them using the “FB” label on the elevator system. One of the best food locations inside the hotel is the Mediterraneo, the poolside restaurant that exclusively serves dinner and offers a menu of seafood with a distinct Mediterranean flair. If you prefer more casual dining, try fresh ceviche at the poolside by stopping by Fresca for lunch.
Activities and Entertainment
The atmosphere at Hyatt Vivid Grand Island is effortlessly relaxed, but that doesn’t mean you’ll run out of things to do. The resort’s activity lineup is designed around connection and wellness with a focus on lighthearted fun. Start your day with sunrise yoga while overlooking the clear waters of the Caribbean before spending the afternoon at a cocktail-making class during golden hour. If you’re feeling more social, you can take part in events like music trivia nights, paint sessions, and calming sound healing sessions.
There are coffee parties twice a week with a DJ that captures the vibes of this resort. Other entertainment includes karaoke nights, live music, DJ sets, and a nightly fire pit from 7 pm to 11 pm.
While the resort’s spa is still in development, resort guests can book indoor and outdoor treatments in the temporary spa spaces – the perfect way to have a more intimate experience than what you’d receive in a large-scale spa environment. Other wellness-focused amenities at the resort include paddleboard yoga, aqua aerobics, and pickleball. Sports enthusiasts can also take advantage of discounted green fees at the nearby golf course during their stay.
Final Thoughts: Swap Partying for Wellness at One of Cancun’s Newest All-Inclusive Adults Resorts

Everyone’s vacation style is different, and this resort is making Cancun an even more attractive destination for younger and wellness-focused travelers. This modern resort is all about embracing slower living with relaxed luxury, rather than a party-heavy energy. It’s somewhere to come to recharge and explore with a walkable resort layout that makes it easy to take advantage of all the amenities at this all-inclusive resort.
Vantage Club is worth the upgrade for its rooftop pool access and enhanced room experience, while the Beach Club gives you a dual-property experience to maximize the value of your stay.
If you’re a fan of high-energy nightlife or want direct beach access, then a resort like Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera may be a better fit. The Hyatt Vivid Grand has skyrocketed to the top of our list of the best resorts in Cancun for couples’ getaways, girls’ trips, and for wellness travelers who want a modern hotel with the best facilities.
The Hyatt Vivid Grand Island fills the gap for a unique niche, blending wellness and modern design as an adults-only resort that doesn’t lean too heavily into Cancun’s party culture or impose an ultra-formal atmosphere.
If you’re craving a chic adults-only escape with stylish suites, elevated dining, and a more relaxed side of Cancun, Hyatt Vivid Grand Island is the perfect getaway. Contact our expert planners at Travel Queen LLC — we’ll help you plan a seamless, stress-free vacation from start to finish.
